🎬 Interview with Philippe Mangeard, President of Decarbo’Solution®

Could you please introduce yourself and describe what Decarbo’Solution® does?

Hello, my name is Philippe Mangeard. Together with a number of friends and partners, we have launched this initiative aimed at identifying and calculating greenhouse gas emissions in order to establish a carbon footprint, but above all to develop reduction plans that will enable everyone to do their part in reducing GHG emissions—a necessary step in addressing the climate crisis that lies ahead.

The result today is Decarbo’Solution®, a greentech company and the undisputed leader in its market—which is only natural. We got started ten years ago. As recently as three years ago, we were the only digital platform offering this kind of service.

Today, half a dozen startups have launched, which clearly shows that the market has evolved and that we now need to move in this digital direction. I’d like to point out thatcarbon footprint assessments using Decarbo’Solution® have been around for over 15 years.

For more than fifteen years, it has primarily served very large companies and very large local governments. Today, the demand from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), micro-enterprises, mid-sized companies, and local governments in general is to be able to take ownership of this carbon footprint assessment—to be able to conduct it independently, in full compliance, and in all its complexity—which is made simple thanks to digital tools, while avoiding the pitfall of greenwashing.

It also provides these companies with an opportunityto develop a carbon strategy and improve energy efficiency by leveraging the expertise and technology of Decarbo’Solution® and its platform for calculating their carbon footprint.
