A partnership between the Medef and Epiterre initiated by the FNSEA

Le Medef a choisi de valoriser une démarche innovante de compensation carbone en lien avec la FNSEA, conduite par Epiterre, en plus de la réalisation d’un bilan carbone et d’une compensation « classique » via ses partenaires Hopscotch et Decarbo’Solution® (Decarbo’Solution®).

The environmental collective Epiterre* offers companies and communities the design and implementation of local partnerships with farmers to produce environmental services. It thus enables companies to relocate their actions in favor of biodiversity and the environment throughout France and to establish, at the local level, a fruitful dialogue between communities, companies, citizens and farmers.

In concrete terms, to ensure part of its carbon compensation, Medef has chosen a project to plant hedges around cultivated plots in the Marne region. This project, which will be implemented over four years and will eventually create four kilometers of hedges, will not only capture and store carbon, but will also promote biodiversity in the agricultural environment: an effective way to fight against the effects of climate change and to give visibility and value to the environmental services provided by farmers on a daily basis.

Finally, the Rencontre des Entrepreneurs de France has been certified ISO 20121, the highest level in terms of eco-design.
