20th Logistics Innovation Award: Winners Announced
The 20th Logistics Innovation Award, presented virtually by SITL 2020, honors seven winners, including TK’Blue Agency, Scallog, and Sightness.
Due to the health crisis, the SITL trade show could not be held this year. Nevertheless, the show wantedto “honor the winners and nominees of the 20th Innovation Awards,”explains Thomas Desplanques, director of the transportation and logistics division at Reed Expositions. The award was presented by a jury composed of members of the Marco Polo Club, as well as supply chain, logistics, and procurement directors from the manufacturing and retail sectors. The jury reviewed 32 submitted entries, as well as 18 startups. The seven winners address the key issues and challenges of modern supply chains, including digital acceleration, process automation, and the green transition.“SITL is very proud to honor the most innovative companies in the market for the 20th consecutive year and will place even greater emphasis on showcasing innovations in future editions,” announced Thomas Desplanques.
The list of winners:
•Best Innovation in Transportation and Logistics:TK’Blue Agencyand its climate division, Decarbo’Solution®, which offers a comprehensive and unique solution for calculating, reducing, and offsetting carbon footprints, aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the members of the United Nations.
•Best Innovation in Robotics and Automation:Scallog, for its Flexytote robotics solution designed for multi-bin transfer operations in the warehouse.
•Best Innovation in Real Estate and Logistics Infrastructure:La Poste, for itsdowntown storage and delivery solutions.
•Best Innovation in IoT Technologies and Information Systems:Sightness, the SaaS solution for detecting transportation anomalies using artificial intelligence.
•Best Innovation in Packaging and Pallet Design:Isovation, which offers a self-contained, stackable, and reusable insulated container in a ¼ ULD airfreight format capable of holding an entire pallet of temperature-sensitive products.
•Best Innovation in Security, Safety, and Cybersecurity:Securitas France, for its Mobile Cam 3D solution—an autonomous and agile mobile video surveillance service based on AI and LiDAR.
•Best Innovation Award in the Refrigeration Village by Selfi:Coldway Technologies, a manufacturer of autonomous refrigeration systems using thermochemical sorption, designed for use in all insulated containers.
